Dressel Wins Multiple Events, Secures Spot on Olympic Team
Less than 45 minutes after capturing the 50-meter freestyle title, Caeleb Dressel showcased his incredible versatility and stamina by setting the top time in the 100-meter butterfly at the US Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis, Indiana. This victory marks Dressel's second individual triumph at the trials, securing his spot on the 2024 US Olympic Swimming Team for the Paris Games.
Ledecky and Manuel Impress as Well
Dressel was not the only swimmer to make a splash on the seventh night of the trials. Katie Ledecky, the legendary distance swimmer, also ended her trials campaign with a big win, claiming the 800-meter freestyle title. Additionally, Simone Manuel and Bobby Finke shined in the 50-meter freestyle and 1500-meter freestyle, respectively, earning spots on the Olympic team.
