In a significant political development, the Council of Ministers in the 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly has undergone a major cabinet reshuffle under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Effective as of March 25, 2022, several key departments have received new assignments, reflecting the government's ongoing commitment to administrative efficiency and public service delivery.
Among the most notable changes, the Personnel and Vigilance Department will now be headed by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, while the Housing and Urban Planning Department will be under the purview of AK Sharma. The crucial Revenue Department has been assigned to Suresh Kumar Khanna, who brings extensive experience in financial management to this vital role.
The reshuffle also saw significant transformations in the Food and Logistics Department, now headed by Jitin Prasada, and the Civil Aviation Department, which will be led by Nand Gopal Gupta "Nandi."
