Apple Maps Launches "Look Around" Street View Feature

Similar to Google's Street View, Look Around Provides Immersive City Exploration

Interactive 3D Experience and Seamless 360-Degree Views

Apple Maps has unveiled its new "Look Around" feature, offering an interactive 3D street-level experience reminiscent of Google Street View. Available in select cities, Look Around allows users to virtually navigate urban areas, get an up-close view of landmarks, and explore neighborhoods in a highly immersive manner.

To use Look Around, users can either tap the dedicated icon in the Maps app or simply search for an address or landmark. The feature provides a seamless 360-degree view, enabling users to pan and tilt their devices to explore the surrounding environment. Look Around can be particularly useful for planning routes, scouting out parking spots, or simply getting a sense of a location before visiting.

While Look Around is currently available in a limited number of cities, Apple is expected to expand its coverage over time. The feature is available on iOS 13 and later, and is compatible with both iPhones and iPads. For a more in-depth look, users can also reference the Apple Maps street view feature called Look Around, which offers a similar experience to Google Maps' Street View.
